Just For Funk was born in 2015 with the idea of creating a cover band with the intention of  sharing positive energy, playful rhythms, good mood and an irresistible desire to dance through mythical Soul Funk and acid Jazz tunes, bringing its own sound and interpretation.

With this intention, musicians from different parts of the world where rhythm and groove are characteristics elements of their cultures decided to gathered together. The result is a dynamic and powerful project capable of transporting the soul and creating a communicative energy of pleasure and good humor.

The chosen tunes allow the public to immediately connect with the band and enjoy every moment, letting themselves being carried away by the warm voice of Svenja, the powerful rhythmic section, a tremendous horn section and the heavenly solos of Jimmy Jenks on saxo,  Paul Evans on trumpet, or Alex Delange on keyboard.

Just For Funk has performed at the Barcelona International Jazz Festival of 2016 and 2017, as well as at various venues such as the Harlem Jazz Club, Jamboree and the Palace Hotel (Ritz) in Barcelona.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you need a band with good energy for your event or venue.
